Storage Facility and Container Requirements
Dedicated Storage Space: Diesel fuel must be stored in dedicated warehouses or independent storage rooms classified as Class C or higher fire hazard. Building fire resistance ratings, fire compartments, and emergency exits must comply with regulations.
Storage Quantity Limits
Intermediate Storage: Intermediate diesel storage areas within factory buildings should not exceed 2m³ (or daily consumption) and must be separated from other areas by firewalls and non-combustible floors with a fire resistance rating of at least 1.5 hours.
Oil Storage Rooms: For oil storage rooms supporting equipment like fire emergency pumps, the storage capacity per room should not exceed 1m³.
Storage Cabinets: Diesel storage cabinets installed at usage sites should maintain on-site inventory below 200L. They must be independently installed, distant from ignition sources, heat sources, power sources, and primary load-bearing structures.
