General Installation Steps and Key Points
Preparation and Safety
Power and fuel off: Before installation, be sure to turn off the engine and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to ensure safety.
Thorough cleaning: Use a clean cloth to thoroughly clean the injector and its mounting holes. Do not allow any impurities (such as dust or metal shavings) to enter, as this may damage precision components. Remove any rust-preventive oil from new injectors before use.
Inspection and Pre-treatment
Check parts: Inspect the injector nozzle, fastening nut, sealing ring, plunger, small steel ball, and other components for damage, wear, or deformation. Any worn pits can be polished.
Replace seals: New sealing rings (such as copper washers or rubber seals) must be installed. Even if the old sealing ring looks intact, it should still be replaced to ensure proper sealing.
Apply lubricant: Apply a small amount of clean engine oil or special lubricant to the injector's O-rings or contact surfaces to facilitate installation and reduce friction damage.

Installing the Injector
Align and insert: Carefully and vertically insert the injector into the mounting hole of the cylinder head, ensuring proper positioning.
Initial tightening: Use a wrench to pre-tighten the injector mounting bolts (tighten to a certain torque first, but not to the final specified value).
Installing the High-Pressure Components (if applicable)
Bridging pipe (common rail) structure: For injectors with a central layout and bridging pipe connection (common in modern diesel engines), follow a specific sequence: install first.
