When choosing fuel for diesel engines, factors such as engine type, ambient temperature, vehicle condition, and fuel quality must be comprehensively considered to ensure a balance between power performance, fuel economy, and engine longevity.

Follow Manufacturer Recommendations: The primary principle is to consult the vehicle or equipment manual, which clearly specifies the recommended fuel grade and specifications. This provides the safest and most accurate guidance.

Select Grade Based on Ambient Temperature: The diesel fuel's pour point (low-temperature flowability) is critical. It must match the local minimum temperature to prevent fuel solidification and fuel supply disruption in cold conditions.

Warm Southern Regions (Ambient Temperature Above 5°C): Use 0# diesel.

Northern cold regions (ambient temperatures -10°C to -20°C): Use -10# or -20# diesel.

Extreme cold regions (ambient temperatures below -20°C): Require lower-pour-point grades like -35# diesel.
